Countertops to Enjoy for Years to Come

  • Quartz countertops: For the look and durability of natural stone without the maintenance, quartz is a great option. Quartz countertops are engineered with a combination of ground, natural quartz and polymer resins. Quartz comes in an array of colors and patterns. Because of its beauty and easy maintenance, quartz is the most popular choice for countertops.
  • Granite countertops: Granite is strong, durable, beautiful, and low-maintenance. It comes in many stunning patterns and color variations: black, white, blue, grey, yellow, gold, green, red and brown. An excellent choice for kitchen countertops, bathroom countertops, backsplashes, grilling centers, and shower walls.
  • Soapstone countertops: Soapstone is a darker, softer stone than granite. It’s nonporous, so it does not require sealing. Applying wax or mineral oil every few weeks helps soapstone maintain its deep color. Because of its softness, soapstone is susceptible to scratches, nicks, and dents. However, you typically can sand or use mineral oil to correct these imperfections 
  • Marble countertops: Marble has a timeless look. No wonder. It’s been used in statues, hearths, and tile for centuries. Typically, marble is creamy and light in color. Marble is extremely soft and prone to scratches and stains. The Granite Company recommends sealing marble every 3-6 months.
